Title:  Twice Upon An Eventide
Author:  Biondine, S & McGathy, S
ISBN:  1-55404-573-8
Review:  This book published by Double Dragon Publishing is comprised of two novellas. Novellas are a strange creature, longer than a short story, shorter than a novel. So, in the context, sometimes a novella is too short and you want more, othertimes, too long, and wished it were a short story. These two stories were too short.

Story 1 - A Varlet's Bond - by Shannah Biondine was a great tale of wonder, magic, great beasts and love. I became to enamored with Praxis and the Preece family that when the story ended, I wanted more. I wanted to continue the tale. Yes, I wanted more. Ms. Biondine had brought the characters to life for me and I lived vicariously through them, much like the tv soaps of the fifties.

Story 2 - Summersong - by Sheri L. McGathy was also a tale of wonder, intrigue, evil and yes, love. As Connair and Myree fight evil to continue to exist, to love, you are brought to edge with the battle of darkness to save Summersong, but what exactly is Summersong? Ms. McGathy brought you characters which made you turn pages to read what would happen next. The Dark is sinister and Ms. McGathy infused it with a dignity and personification which made it real within your mind. And yes, there is love, and there is Summersong.

This book has two similar, yet totally distinct, tales of valor, honor, magic and love. I highly recommend it. Both authors are multi-published.
